Exclamation Saying bye bye to the stroker.......

Well I'm sad to say I am not going to build my stroker for my camaro now. I ran into one hell of a deal, I'm getting a 1955 ford truck with the original V-8 with only 1 owner for only $500.00. The truck has been sitting since 1968 because the trans needs some work but I think I can live with that, the tires are still up on this thing. I'm going to check it out here next week while I'm on vacation so I'll keep you guys up to date on it.

I can't believe you're gonna give up on giving your camaro a new lease on life for a Ford. Very disappointing.

I'm with Geno, I would shun you but I was already so it would be pointless. So now I vote for all of us driving to your house and kicking you in the junk. JK MAN

Even so for for $5800.00, You can do a hell of alot better. I would stroke and wouldn't cost you any where near that.

if u go and have the engine bored and stroked, get good heads and intake (which will be less than 5800) you could get more power than with a 502. crate motors are awesome, but aren't usually the cheapest way to go... not to mention if u get the engine bored, it will be as if it never ran a mile.

Re: Saying bye bye to the stroker.......

hell, i would do what he is doing. a 55 ford truck instead of a stroked motor for a car that already has a good 350 in it? id take that 55 ford over a new motor any day, especially a 55...

Re: Saying bye bye to the stroker.......

Theres already no room in the thirdgen with a small block. Changing spark plugs with headers in there is a chore, why would you want to cram a big block in there??

Re: Saying bye bye to the stroker.......

Because I think big blocks are over rated. People think its the coolest to stuff the biggest engine into their cars. For the price of a big block crate motor you can buy a very nicely build small block crate motor that makes a shitload of power.
