RB20DET to RB25DET

Whats up, I just found out that my #6 cylinder was bad. I was told by one place that my exhaust temp got to hot from running lean and I killed my #6 piston and rings. I also have a craped out turbine which was not stock =( Can you say SMOKEEEEE. Well I found a RB25DET in a R33 Skyline that was rolled. I am buying the whole car for 150,000 yen. Well since I am swoping out engines what else am I able to swap out while I have a whole car to pick from? Driveshaft, Transmisson, Computer, and is there anything else? Another question I have is will the RB25DET driveshaft bolt right up to my rear end in my R32? Also a shop told me I could use my RB20 cams in the 25 which I am not sure if I beleive but is it true? When I get my engine swapped out I should have parts for sell on here soon. Well that is after I open up the Rb20 and see if it is a 2.4 like I was told... I could use any info you have to offer. Later...

r32/r33

I say take the brakes gearbox and diff too, as they're bound to be more advanved on the R33, and you'd have no worries about the driveshaft bolt pattern

I've heard that it is possibly to get the R33 RB25DET to run on the Re-Programmable R32 RB20DET ECU.

I wouldn't bet the rent on it. For one thing it won't control the variable timing of the inlet cam. The timing and injection might be out (granted you could get it re-mapped). I dunno whether or not it would manage the aircon etc without problems. Just get the Greddy e-manage, if you don't want a replacement computer to get tunability.
