hello out there" long time lister first time caller":sun: anywho just wanted to swap talk about my truck and yours. I live in kind of a remote place so there is no one to get feed back from. I've got a 1994 ford ranger splash. Trying to make it an svt. Just had it painted, still in performance red but with a clearcoat instead of fords cheapo one step paint. Neeper pyro wheels, cervini ram air hood, bucket seats, fresh carpet, custom "granite" style dash and interior plastic. I want a V8. 302 boss poss 351 clevland or windsor. How hard is this feat? is there anything out there that will bolt up to the current tranny or will that have to change at the same time. Now its got the 3 litre v6 with auto. Also want to lower it. whats the best thing to do, new springs or air bags? I like the air bags but have no idea how they go together or what i would need.
anyone out there in a little truck or ranger club or do you want to start one?:bandit:

If you want to put your ranger on air check with Aim, they have complete kts that can have your truck sitting right on its rocker panels, all you have to do is notch the rear frame for extra clearance, im doin that to my 94 4.0L Splash, it first was goin to have a 5 6 drop but now i want to go lower

definetly go with the 5.0 - there's alot of parts. it's alot lighter, and many companies make swap kits for it.
check out www.jamesduff.com www.therangerstation.com -> tech library -> v8 swap BTW - plan on changing your tranny
