Impreza engine into VW Beetle - Any Tips please?

I've recently been told that the 1.6 Impreza engine will fit into the old VW Beetle.

I've got a '72 Beetle with a cracked crank case and a sniff at a donor Impreza engine. Has anyone got any tips as to wiring looms, adaption plates, rad placement etc? Thankyou.

You'll not only need the engine but the computer out of the imprezza as well. Call them up and they'll tell you what you need.

I would recommend going to Shoptalkforums.com and go to the Conversion Perversions area because That is one of the most widely done swaps besides a Rotary.
