Question changing interior color of my eclipse

hey, does anybody know a good way to change the interior color of a car??? At the moment my dash is black and the rest is beige and it looks really ugly. we bought the car like that and its been bugging me for months now! i want to make it all black but i dont want to buy all new paneling for the car cuz that would be pretty expensive! and im working on a budget lol for the time being anyway. could i remove all the pieces and paint it my color of choice? if so what kind of paint would be sufficient so it doesnt crack or peel?? ive read around that airbrushing works really well, how much do they tend to run? also could i change the carpet myself or would that require somebody elses handywork? and one more thing where can i buy black seatbelts so im not stuck with beige ones lol...anything anyone knows will be great i wanna start from the inside out to make my dream car! thanks in advance

1g = 90-94
2g = 95-99
3g = 00-04

the 1g interior panels are different than the 2g

it was around $450 for both whole doors, and all panels under dash on both sides. it was that much cause they had to fix what i did, so im guessin it would be alot cheaper than that lol

Re: changing interior color of my eclipse

if this helps - my friend recently bought a 97 GST and his interior was done up...the kid who owned it before him did it himself by using MODEL paint....like the kind of stuff you can pick up at wal-mart...i believe he used the model paint in a spray can. he painted all of the parts with 20 layers of paint and it looks AWESOME.

Re: changing interior color of my eclipse

as long as you prep it right almost any paint should work. just clean it really well to get rid of any fingerprints, dust, armor all, etc.
