Blitz Engine management system

I`ve just ordered a Blitz engine management system for my Celica, the garage I ordered it from claims 380hp when fitted, but then went on to list other parts that I would need in order for the car to "continue" working, he hinted at things like the turbo blowing up, fuel system not been able to cope etc, almost tripling the cost of getting this done, is this true or is he just trying to get more money out of me? and if so, what do I need? Cheers in advance.

Re: Blitz Engine management system

that a high HP claim......what it does is let you, or does it automatically, adjust your air to fuel curve ratios. Your gunna get worse gas mileage, and yesa hteh machnic is right...to an extent, if you up it (like crazy) youll starve your fuel pump and make ur car run like shit...but i doubt it should be triple in cost...just dont run up your fuel pump and you should be fine

Re: Blitz Engine management system

fyi you could ghettto rig it and just get bigger lines, its an easy way to get more fuel outta ur pump withought replacing it, i wouldnt recomend it for you tho becuase from my understading the fuel pump onthe 3rd gen gt-4s cant handle alot more thanstock

Re: Blitz Engine management system

I gotta admit it dosnt really spend alot of time above 6000rpm but when your racin someone and it stutters like it does it can really put you off, and with 4WD it does effect the car alot, you can really feel the acceleration difference

Go for it, you cant beat the feeling of been behind the wheel of a GT4. they are rare, even in the UK. who cares if they arnt the fastest, most economical, most expensive or whatever, they are just a pleasure to drive and most fun, it would take a bomb to whipe the smile of my face evry time I get home after driving it.
