Question blazer with narrower wheelbase?

It seems like some 2 door blazers and jimmy's look like they have shorter axles/smaller wheels than other 2 doors and especially 4 doors. Is this true? It makes them kinda look like a mushroom from the behind.

here is my rearview drawing of it:
______

C!____.____!D
II___=___II
L---------J
-> L! L! <-

yeah, I'm bored

Re: blazer with narrower wheelbase?

I think that might be the case with 2WD models...or at least the winky little tires make their stance more narrow. 2WD Blazers have a rollover rating of 1, meaning you better hope you don't get too strong of a cross wind! 4WD models have a rating of 2...still not so good, so wear your seatbelts! You're 75% more likely to survive a rollover if you are...and as I did when I rolled my 98 4WD in Sept. See my gallery for some pics.

Let me just say that even though it was a 98, it was like brand new inside and out. It was dependable and it was just a really good looking truck...man I loved it....sniff...okay, I'm over it. Anyway, I was with my family on the way home from beach, driving down the road at about 40mph and a woman (go figure) in a Merc. Mountaineer pulled out of a Liquor Store parking lot and railed us on the passenger side. Next thing I know we're rolling. We went over 1 1/4 times ending up on the passenger side in the on-coming lane. I have to say for the forces we encountered the Blazer took it like a champ, and I know seatbelts made the difference as any of us could have been thrown from the vehicle. I'm missing my first Blazer, but I'm also feeling really lucky.

As soon as I could, I went right out and got another 98LT...same color, options..etc.
