shop manual for PA SC 92

hi,

anyone got a shop manual like a clymer or soemthing for a PA SC 92?

i found one at a store here, a haynes, covers these vehicules and years :

Models covered:
Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac C and H body vehicles (FWD)
Buick - Electra, LeSabre and Park Avenue 1985-2002
Oldsmobile - Delta 88 Royale, Ninety-eight and Regency 1985-2002
Pontiac - Bonneville 1985-2002

**Does not include diesel engine information, supercharger information or rear-wheel drive models.

the last phrase is what i need the most..it doesn.t cover the SC engine..

anyone know if CHILTON makes one that covers the SC engine? or any other manual which covers it for that matter?

I haven't found one yet either. Suppose I could go the dealership route. Let me know if you find something else.

thanks

Re: shop manual for PA SC 92

Jump on eBay and find yourself the GM Factory Service Manual for the 1992 Park Avenue. Probably cost between $10 and $50 depending on if you get an auction with both books, what quality they are in, the popularity of the 1992 Park Avenue, etc. (Plus Media Rate shipping of course.)

Book 1 should cover everything except advanced electrical diagnosis and driveabilty/emissions diagnosis. It may take a couple months before someone puts one up for sale, but I see them up for one Buick or another relatively regurally. The Haynes/Chilton manuals work for little stuff... say 35% of the total car. The Service Manual will cover every detail.

Beyond that, all the pictures will look EXACTLY like your car. So instead of looking at a picture of the 1989 Park Avenue in a Haynes manual and trying to guess where GM moved the component, you'll just know.

Personally, 1800 pages of documentation comes in handy. Of course, I also get out an inch-lbs torque driver when bleeding my brakes. ROFL
