Talking an eclipse to see and some questions.

don;t norrmally post links to cardomain sites but this eclipse is just crazy out of this world.

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/425615

Okay, now for the questions. As some of you may already know i'm looking to buy a 95-96 eclipse GST(don't get the GSX in my country) and i wanted to know :

1. are they worth getting as a performance car since they're fwd?
2. are there any problems with the 95-96 GST's?
3. Are they cheap to modify and get easy gains out of?
4. are they cheap to fix up?

thanks for the replies guys. oh and before someone says "get a GSX" like i said, we don't have GSX's here so i'm stuck with a fwd GST. thanks a lot for the help.

Very easy to modify, for less than $2000 you can be in the 12's

Re: an eclipse to see and some questions.

I don't think he was saying it was turbo...he just liked the car. Then he asked some unassociated questions . BTW I love supra tail conversions on any car--my friend has supra tails on his teg and it looks badass.

oh, ok. I knew he was looking for a gst and i thought that he thought that it was a gst. That last sentence was kinda confusing. Anyways, i saw that car a while ago for sale. It looks really nice, especially the supra lights.

Re: an eclipse to see and some questions.

im not into coversions at all...somehow IMO they make the car looks like a poser. fabricating different stuff wthin the original design theme is cool though...ie, halo headlights within a stock shaped housing...etc.

I'm not a big fan of wings. But, I think that wing looks perfect on that car. It's not too high and not too low. Does anyone know who makes that wing?

That car on domain is just ugly in my opinion.....besides the transformer we saw back a while...But yea i agree with shpyder...conversions just make the car ugly and make it look a poser...but to each his own! Please if you get an eclipse Zwrangler dont make it look like that..

IMO,the car is fine w/ exceptions of a few things. As long as the car has equal show and preformance, then IMO i dont see any problem with it. In this case, the guy really didnt too much, performance wise, which would be equivilant to a ricer.

Re: an eclipse to see and some questions.

and it is never too early to start learning about these cars. start in the FAQ in here [link in the sig]

these cars are soooo easy to mod. and the stock engine is good to ~400WHP which is good enough for 12's. there are a bunch of components that the stock form of are better than any aftermarket. with any bit of car knowledge you can work on them fairly easy. you will fall in love with the power you can push out of these things...
