transgo or any other brand shiftkit question
If anyone has a transgo shift kit in their TH125C transmission can you tell me what kind of shift it gives it?Is it a firm shift or a siemi firm-hard shift?I would prefer a semi firm-hard shift.Im wondering what kind of shift I would be getting for $20.00.It sounds too good to be true for $20.00.Also is their anyone else out there that offers a shift kit for this transmission? If so what do they run on cost, and what kind of shift would it get from them?Im just trying to get the best shift for my money. My transmission has been rebuilt and I dont like the sloppy shift at all.A sloppy shift means slipage and heat build up. Thanks,Tim

your shift kit (i'm more familiar with bigger engines)will give you smoother shifts when you are driving at a normal rate, when you are pulling away in first gear at w.o.t.the shift kit will shift for you, (leave it in first)when you reach the red line it will shift hard automatically.
believe it or not it's just a plate with a few balls for the fluidways, that's why they are cheap, the cheapest will still work well. unless you run at w.o.t. from the hole, you don't need it. |
