Re: gas mileage

but i know there is a problem.. bnecasue the past few weeks .. with VERY light throttle and not speeding.. ive averaged 180-200miles per tank... works out to sometimes 13-15 mpg... what is my problem?... i hollowed out the cat... there is no EGR going to it anyway.. here is what i have done to it... Took out the spring on the thermostat.. car now runs 140-160 all day... Throttle body bypass, Hollow cat, and a K&n Cold air intake..

Re: gas mileage

your engine runs best around 175-185 degrees. put a stock stat on or reprogram.

Put the kitty back in the cat. Modern engines are designed for optimal airflow with the backpressure the cat provides for off the line acceleration, and if you need to worry about it: gas mileage.
