Re: I can't Top out over 115..

Hey my first post here!!
Yeah ford put the limiter in the computer, the only way i know to get around this is to buy a new computer. Search around to find a computer that will eliminate the limiter. I know hypertech does, but the chip is worthless otherwise.

You can put a switch on your speed sensor but you won't know how fast your going when you do top out.

Re: I can't Top out over 115..

Yes ford governs our cars. But its with due cause, our driveshafts arent the bets. You do need a chip that elimnates the Factory Restrictions, FORD chip, SCT, there are a bunch out there. Before you upgrade ur computer and destroy ur driveshaft... look around for a lincoln mark VIII aluminum driveshaft and while ur at it try and get the torque converter as well.

SC's weren't governed.

Re: I can't Top out over 115..

So how do you put a switch on your speed sensor? I've hit over 110mph in my car before it seems like a fuel cut-off was hit.

Re: I can't Top out over 115..

Yes when you get to a high enough speed it does cut off the fuel to injectors.

Get a wirring diagram and have fun.

Re: I can't Top out over 115..

but note one thing, you better turn that thing back on once you go below 115, cuz otherwise the transmission will fuck up not knowing when to shift, and that will hella suck.
