Re: Turbo

and where are you finding this information?
The Vq35de is a V6 and it is a lot easier and power efficient to install two turbos instead of one.

Re: Turbo

Yea its a V engine set up, its gonna be a lot easier to do the twin turbo set up, because of the two exhaust manifold on the sides.

what exactly are you talking about? single turbo vs. twin turbo's have different advantages and disadvantages. it all depends on what you want.

single turbo, on an engine is gonna net you more max power.

twin-turbo is gonna allow to spool to smaller turbos much faster and give you less peak power but an overall better power band, usually.

alot of 300zx TT owners, supra TT owners, and etc. convert there TT set-ups to single turbo for more peak HP.

Re: Turbo

I guess it all boils down to what are you looking to do? If its the 1320, then hey, perhaps a well designed TT, SC, or single will suffice, but if its street or road racing, then perhaps, the TT will be a better choice. For me, it was easy. I rarely street race and look forward to putting the car into the show circuit next year . . . TT for me

I've looked at the single and dual turbo setups and was going to use the supercharger that Stillen has. Much simpler to install and no turbo lag, but not going to go that route. Going to go all the way and setup my car the way I wished I could have got it in the first place and put a VK45DETT in it, and be a happy camper.

Have you bought the engine yet? If so or not do you know how much the engine will be or was? Do you know how much modification it will take to get that motor in?

Re: Turbo

Like k3smostwanted said, it really depends on what your looking for, or what you want. some people like twin turbos more, and single turbos more. I'd rather get a twin turbo and with Nitrous also

I could list 'em or I could refer you to this weeks featured car (here)

I just wish we had a pic of the fiberglassed visors with monitors . . . they're painted the same color as the car (redline).

Re: Turbo

I really enjoy the car, but I'm already starting to get bored with my stock greddy maps. Forged internals . . . here I come

Yes, Under $1,000, a very simple swap.

I'm doing a VH45DE swap in one of my Zed32's right now, and the VH or VK bellhousing well bolt right up to the Z32 or Z33 transmission. I haven't started on my Z33 yet as I have a couple project ongoing now, but I got a VK45DE engine for $1,000+ shipping and it's sitting in my shop. Done all the measuring and figure with a 4 core rad. for cooling will work fine.

If your going show the by all means use a Stillen polished Supercharger. They look killer sitting on top of a engine.
