best quiet muffler?

Hi ppl,

My engine is B18B1 LS all stock except for a CAI. (the exhaust is stock except for the muffler part)

I'm replacing my non-stock loud muffler for a QUIET one.

I don't wanna lose any power by buying and ultra quiet yet ultra restrictive muffler...

I head Dynamax could be what I'm looking for...

Maybe some of you guys have had the same needs and could give me advice and quiet mufflers....

tx for any insight.

Re: best quiet muffler?

Honestly, if you have the entire stock exhaust, except the muffler, changing it between high-performance or stock, wont make any difference. It will ge a different volume. But performance gains or losses will only be like 2 or 3hp. If you never switched to an aftermarket catback, then switching back to a stock muffler wont affect your performance much at all.

Re: best quiet muffler?

woow, what a useful answer...

btw, when they get inside the car, and then feel their ears vibrating with the loudness of the muffler, they cant wait to get out of the car...

Re: best quiet muffler?

Turbo 2 muffler from Autozone, $15...if you clamp it on it's silent...if you weld it on then it's loud.
