car idles very loudly at startup

Hi. I have a 95 Geo Prism (same car as the Corolla). Recently, it began idling very loudly when I start it up. It then goes away after about 2 miles of driving. I might expect such when it is real cold, but it hasn't been that cold yet. It is an old car with a lot of miles (155,000). Is this normal for such a car, or is there a problem and if so, what could it be?

just check the idle on your car or if not just adjust your throttle cables...it shouldnt be a problem with the engine...(mine has 189000 miles on it and i havent had a problem like that)...
