Since its going to be while before i get a new car i was wondering if anyone had some ideas on how to get more power out of 3.1L V6 engine without spending too much
I was curious because there just doesnt seem to much space to work with under that hood -- if you have ever changed out a battery in a 97 lumina you know what i mean just post any ideas you have on how to get more power out of the lumina & How do you remove a govenor? |

Re: Beef up my Lumina?
K+N filter is a good start. There are aftermarket throttle bodies and stuff available, but they are godawful expensive. Really just opening it up, intake and exhaust, and maybe a powertrain controller or power chip is about all you can do, without spending major bucks.
You can't remove the governor. It's part of the ECM's programming. A power chip may raise the top governed speed. |
