B16A1 speedometer?

Hey everyone,
I recently had the JDM b16A first generation installed into my 89 civic DX 4 door, but there is a problem. I didn't realize that you had to change the speedometer over to electronic, because the old transmission is cable. I ordered a jdm cluster, but apparently the only style they make is for the 90-91 civic, so therefore i would have to instal a 90-91 civic dash to make it fit properly, plus it's in km, which i don't really like. I also heard recently that you can install a 96-00 civic SI gauge cluster into my car, and it is electrical so it will hook up to my car. now, does anyone have any suggestions, or can give me any feedback as to what they did to fix this problem? I also tried to get an autometer speedometer that would have fit in to replace mine, but they apparently don't make that size anymore (after waiting for a month). any help would be reeeaaaallllly appreciated!
