Im Buying A Maxima But What Year Should I Get????
Im Going To Get A Maxima Se But I Dont Know Wut Year I Should Get.......i Dont Like The Brand New Ones Like The 2000 And Up But I Dont Like The Older Ones Like The 1994 And Lower So Can Some One Help Me Out????

well lets see, you don't like the 2000 and up, you don't like the 1994 and down, sounds like you should get a 1995 to 1999, search the internet on Maxima, look for reviews, see what people are saying

I would say best maxima for that range is a 2k2 or 2k3. 255HP, plus a 6 speed. If you like the 4th gen (95-99) I would go for a 99 because its the newest of that year. (less mileage, better condition, etc. ) 99SE if you want a manual.

i have to agree with swonder...$17k is alot...i would suggest an 02-03 cuz i personally like their styling much better then the 00-01's...the 6 spd 255 hp VQ would be great...0-60 in like 6.3??? i could be wrong, but if i am, it would be faster...do what you will w/ that, and good luck.

with that kind of money you could buy a 98 SE with all the options, 5spd, and then put all the bolt ons and turbo it, it would smoke alot of other cars. The 2000-03 maximas have good styling, but i think that the 4th gens look a little more refined.

I'd get a 95-99 and build the shit out of it. There are people swapping the 3.5 in them, stroking them...there are turbo kits for them....And they are lighter weight.

1995 is the fastest 4th gen. It'd only cost you about $5-7K to acquire a loaded SE which would get you a 5-speed. With the remaining cash, slap on a PFI turbo kit and make over 300 at the wheels. You'll still have another 3K or so to spend on other stuff like suspension and wheels. That's what I'd do anyway.
