No air pressure when max heat on?
My heater works and all functions seem fine... cept I get no blow pressure ...the heater can be on max and it sounds like its blowing but i get very little heat? I read a couple posts about this but am more confused then ever where do i get to the place i need to clean? It does seem like it is just blocked in some way....
Also my battery light on my dash came on as i was driving what does it mean is this the voltage light and could a bad belt cause this? everything runs fine but the lights being on bothers me? Pls help |

Re: No air pressure when max heat on?
You should try cleaning off the evap. core under the dash, and to get to it, remove all the plastic from under the dash, including the heatercore cover, which is in the center, and reach up behind with a small soft wire brush and scrub away. Most often a whole bunch of crap will come off that thing, which is probably what's blocking the air flow. And as far as your battery light, the only belt that could be bad is the serpentine belt, and that would cause more problems than a battery light. I'd have the alternator checked, it's probably bad.

Re: No air pressure when max heat on?
a bad belt "could" cause the battery light to come on, as the alternator is the heaviest load belt driven item, but it's not likely. I would look at the belt tensioner and have the alternator tested, as these are the more likely culprits. (unless of course the belt is visibly glazed or covered in oil.)
