*COMPLETED* Revell 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T

Here are come completed photos of the lastest model that I have attempted to make a halfway decent build of it. Most of the parts were really good, my only gripes is the body and bottom didnt want to meld up quite right. I lost one of the back up lights, so I attempted to make some out of that clear glue for lights, but I failed. The biggest gripe, is the hood will not close now, unless I cut the pins. All I can get it to do is sit in the open posistion, hence, why none of these have the hood down. I had fun building it, and I enjoyed it. I would happily buy this kit again. Hope you like it.

The car is painted Krylon Fusions Dark Blue with Krylon Fusions Yellow for accents. The Interior is flat black and medium blue.

All I have left to do is a little touch up, and attach the mirrors into their housings.

again, enjoy. I know its not the worlds greatest, but I am proud of it.

If the skies clear up any, I will try for some outdoors shots.

Well, the hood and wing stick out like sore thumbs. It looks very well, however, the kit supplied bumper that you used is to build the talon version. Such a shame revell refused to place the talon's wing and wheels in the kit.

good build, but i think the yellow hood doesn't go well with the car.

The color combination is not my thing but it looks like a nice and clean build.

Did the NOS-bottle and the speakers came with the kit?

Yes Wheelin, they did. the kit came with the choice of two bumpers, 3 front bumpers, two different spoilers, 3 choices of rims, not bad if you collect alot of spares. I didnt use some other parts for it, like the monster tach. It also came with two hoods, one of them being a complete clear one.

Yup, the Revell Tuner series is a pretty good bunch on kits. Lots on spare parts and quite a good fitting and almost no mold lines ! People who know me will be impressed by those comentary on Revell but YES, they are on the right track to improve their kits !!

Let's not forget the spare seats, some cool stuff like the CF decals, the gages and the metal exhaust pipe !! Drawback... those tires must be like 155mm/25 or so... way too skinny !!!

Re: *COMPLETED* Revell 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T

thanks. I am my worst critic

that and this is the first time I decided to post a completed car that I did. I love that scheme too. it came to me when I was just looking at it. I like, and I would make a 1:1 of it too if I could. its different from the norm.. probably why not that many people like it.

Re: *COMPLETED* Revell 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T

To give you a nice advise: use CF on the hood and wing next time if you like to do something nice with it. Same goes for the wheels. Just use chrome or silver paint. It looks like a toy this way.

Furthermore, great build. Looks very clean and the body color is awesome

I actually like the color combination.

There is a guy running around here with a Talon that is painted pretty close to that. His is actually a lighter blue, but still yellow and blue.

Nice job too, I may have to pick that kit up for when I clear out some space on my table.
