Sounds to me like a bad battery connection...it has a good enough connection to run all the accessories but not good enough to pass enough amperage to start the car.... It could also be a bad battery.

1997 pontiac bonneville ssei with problems

As soon as the key was turned that's when the power went out. Is it still possible that it's a bad battery connection?? When it did turn over I stopped the starter as I thought t was running and it was not. Then turned key over and no power. Not even a click interior lights, headlights nothing worked. SAt for 5 minutes and then it had power turned the key and again no power to anything.. I will try to reset the battery cables and try again though I appreciate your answer if it's that then yee haa if not crappy!!

thanks fierce GT

If you lived near me I would buy you a beer or a few. It was a loose positive cable connection!!!

It felt tight last night but it's -10c here and well everything is cold. It was wierd that it would turn then everything was gone.

thanks again.
