Sloppy 5 speed

I have a '94 2500 4X4 with a 5 speed manual transmision mated to a 350. i recently replaced the clutch and when i put everything back together the transmision is very sloppy in shifting. Any suggestions?

I also am wondering if any one knows how to bleed the hydrolic clutch line i think it got some air in it during the job?

Re: Sloppy 5 speed

You should have replaced the hydraulic slave cylinder while you were in there. 9 times out of 10 the slave has wear on the area the throwout bearing rides on. It adds about $50 to the clutch job but well worth it. You may even consider replacing the clutch master cylinder too. It's only plastic and it wears much faster than a metal counterpart. As for bleeding, you need a helper to apply the clutch as you get underneath and crack the bleeder valve to expell any air that might be in the line. It's not any different from bleeding brakes, except that there is only one bleeder, thank God!!
