Does anybody know which wires need to be jumped in order to figure out an engine code on a 1994 Honda Prelude?

Re: check engine light

i'm not entirely sure, but if its anything like the 5th gens, you just have to find the service connector and connect both holes with a piece of wire.

before anybody flames me, i understand a 94 has obd-1 and might not have a service connector at all, but since i don't own a 4th gen, i'm just trying to give an educated guess.

Yeah, thats what I was told, and a mechanic said I could find the service connector under the passenger side dash by the kick pan to the side, but no luck. where is yours located?

prelude service connector

the service connector is by your knee or feet behind the radio there are two connectors there in rubber covers. one of them is the service connector. turn the ignition to the on position then jump the connector with a wire.
