On my 2001 GTP, the courtesy lights above the rear doors seem dim (also the dome lights). Are there aftermarket bulbs that could be used to increase the output, or maybe I could use LEDs?

Re: Coutesy Lights too dim!!??
The GM computer isn't real clear as to what bulb that fixture takes, but I'm sure you can buy brighter aftermarket replacements

Re: Coutesy Lights too dim!!??
New car? Where they brighter at one time or always dimmer? I would check if they are as bright as everyone eles. You may have a bad ground. Pull off the plate and check the voltage. Went to storage and checked out my GT. Their bright enough to read by. (GTX only has 2 doors).
richtazz is right they do make brighter lights. But it's always nice to check. Good luck

Re: Coutesy Lights too dim!!??
Thanx for the response. I'll check the voltage and see what's up. I'm thinking I can check the GE Bulb catalog and see if there's another bulb that's rated for more candlepower with the same base.

Putting new bulb in will more then likely give you a little more light. But if it's a bad ground, your light that is in there will give you more light. Then change if you like.
