94 s10 blazer no start when engine warm

94 S-10 Blazer 4.3L vin W
starts fine when engine is cold, but when it gets to operating temp and shut it down it will start right back up if its just been 10 minutes. If it sits for much longer will not start. have checked spark and found fine after that I sprayed starting fluid and starts right up and stays running.

Have replace nutkit with in a year due to a craked line. Any help would be greatful apperacted ! at this time... Thinking it may be spider injector/regulator!

Have you checked your fuel pressure?

Yip, check the fuel filter, and look down the IMTV valve under the top Vortec plate and smell and look for gas leaks.

Tell us if you smell or see washed clean metal and pools of fuel.

Ok guys dont have any of my tool here today or I would be checking it out tonight. Have to see if I can come up with a fuel pressure tester tomorrow. Let you know what I find out tomorrow. Thank you.

Say has anyone ever tried to just replace just the regulator and not the whole CPI unit. Have seen the regulators on ebay and just thought maybe if it is just the regulator on it I would try that way.

Let you know what I find tomorrow!

Never have heard of one replacing the regulator and having it NOT fail.

Do the whole injector, you can get them so cheap off of ebay.

Also install a new nut kit while you are doing the injector. That is the internal fuel line kit.

Search for CPI injector there and you will find one.

Also, do the normal tuneup stuff while you are at it.

Including:

Cap & Rotor
Plugs (AC Delcos gapped properly)
Wires
Air Filter
Fuel Filter
Remove clean and reinstall the EGR valve
REplace the PCV valve.

Re: 94 s10 blazer no start when engine warm

I have also seen in the fuel tank in line with the fuel pump there is a device call a pulsater what it does is absorb the fuel pulses. Its about 3 to 5 inches long and is a hard plastic shell with a rubber insert that the fuel goes through. I have seen many crack the rubber insert and that would cause the fuel pressure to bleed-off after shut down.
Not all trucks have them but most do. That might or might not be your problem just keep it in mind.
Thsi could be found by doing a fuel pressure bleed down test
Good luck

Re: 94 s10 blazer no start when engine warm

If your has it it is in line with the fuel pump.
At 56-60 psi fuel pressure GM put it there to help dampen the pulses of fuel comming out of the pump.
It is located on the fuel pump out let line in the fuel tank.
I cant remember what year that started in but I think it was 94 or 96.
If you had your pump out you would see it if your had 1. The outside shell was black and the inner rubber was orange
