Funny Misbadged cars!!!

So what is the funniest/gayest car you have seen that has obviously been misbadged. Im not talkin about all the Integras with the fake Type R badging, but the truely funny ones.

One of my favorites i saw this weekend. It was a '99 Honda Civic. first thing i noticed was the nice blue paint job and the two perfectly round taillights. i pulled alongside and noticed that the car had GTR stickers and a Skyline badge. I was like OMFG this stupid Civic has been made to look like a Skyline! from the rear it looked like a real Skyline, but from the side it was obviously to short.

Another funny car i saw was a brand new Nissan Sentra GXE. It had been painted bright yellow, with a dark limo tint on all windows. The first thing i noticed was how loud it was. It sounded like it had a massive fan in front of the engine! the next thing i noticed was that on the trunk lid it had an SE-R badge. after that i saw that the owner had put the stickers of his performance parts on the window of his two rear doors (he had an AEM, Tsudo headers, and Injen stickers). Then looking at the front i saw that the dude had taken the Nissan symbol off the grill and replaced it with a GTR symbol. so now i guess Nissan makes a Sentra SE-R GTR.

There is a car in my town that looks like a Lamborghini Murcielago, but pulled along side it, it doesn't sound like one...anyway, this yellow NSX pulls up next to it, and tells the guy to go to the gas station, he wants to check it out. I follow (eavesdropping on convo) and pull in. Turns out this Lambo was a kit car, and was actually like a Trans Am or something (some sort of a domestic, not sure)...the NSX was real, and he left as soon as the guy in the Lambo said it wasn't real...hah.

As for others : ever seen a Celica with a TypeR badge on the back? Not a sticker, a damn badge....also saw a Prelude with molded Skyline tails and heads, front and rear bumpers, and it had all the Skyline badges. Was painted jet black....look like one from the rear, but from the side and front it was totally not...

One of the funniest stories I've heard is when a regular 3 Series BMW had an M3 badge. This guy who really had a E36 M3 took his badge off and put a 328 on or something like that. Anyway, he pulled up to this ca and saw the M3 badge. Being the BMW expert he was he thought to himself "that's not an M3" A woman was driving that fake M3. He was like "nice M3" and she's like "thanks, is that a 328?" He's like "yeah, wanna race?" When they get on it, he puts quite a few carlengths on her and slows down. They catch another red light and he sees that she's all embaressed. The only thing he said was "don't put that badge on if you can't back it up" and drove off.

Re: Funny Misbadged cars!!!

if you got pics, post them!!!

i was driving around a few nights ago when i saw what looked to be a skyline from the back... it had the nissan badge and the skyline gtr badge in the right place... when i passed it i realized it had the chevy grill... it was an impala... i rolled down my window and went "hey, if you're gonna impersonate another car, you might want to get rid of all the origional car's decals and badges" he revved his engine and went "it's a skyline, i threw the chevy stuff on there to confuse idiots like you"
i laughed and said "you couldn't catch me if your life depended on it, go home boy"

light goes green, he hits the gas and i do the same. When i've got about 3 car lengths on him, he turns around the opposite way.

still funny, i hope i can get a pic of it if i see it around town again.

Re: Funny Misbadged cars!!!

There is a white civic in my town. Its not badged at all. What it does have though is body panels that make it look like a supra. It has side skirts, tail lights, and head lights.. from what i hear its suposed to be a really fast turbo civic. I have never seen him race so i cant back verify that. What i can say is that i see the kid all the time at school just standing around his car with a bunch of Tools(people) trying to look cool with his civic.

I lower my head and walk away laughing EVERYTIME.

Re: Funny Misbadged cars!!!

The dumbest, or funniest let's say, is seeing a Nissan Altima, with an SIR badge on both front fenders (left and right), and a Type R stick under the right tail light. Ri-friggin-diculous!!! Late...
