Fuel Gauge

Last night I parked my truck, But before i turned it off something caught my eye. I look at my fuel gauge and its jumping back and fourth from full to 1/2 tank. I know a lot of people have had problems with their fuel gauges not working at all, it looks like im on my way for that problem. Any one know how i can prevent this from happening or how to fix it now to save me some money down the road?

Re: Fuel Gauge

Mine is doing the same thing. I'm going to change the sending unit. Dealer wants $145 for it, I'm waiting on a guy who might can get it cheaper for me. apparently high carbon content in gas causes problems for a circut. good luck
