Supercharging a type R

Im about to buy the vortech supercharger for my Type R engine. But what i need to know is there a better alternative? I am looking for 1/4 times. It would be running at a 12psi high boost pulley. What would i get more out of my engine a turbo or a supercharger? Thanks.

Re: Supercharging a type R

What you need for the type R on boost is a good fuel management. [email protected] should be a required and neccessary component for boosting your type R.

May I be the first to warn you.

Re: Supercharging a type R

The vortech comes with a proper kit that includes evrything needed including the fuel system. Is it possible to modify my internals for safety becuase i will be running at 12 psi?

12psi on a type-r on street gas will require lower compression normally, which then negates it from being a type-r...the reason it's a type-r IS the very internals you wish to modify.

Re: Supercharging a type R

yep
so run it around 6-9 psi and you wont have to beef up the insides too much

get a good ems like hondata, find a really good tuner and keep tuning and turning up the boost till it starts to detonate adn then back it off alittle. best way ot reach your max. but i also wouldnt exceed 300whp on stock internals
