performance parts

Hi everybody, I'm rebuilding my 88 4-cylinder and I'm looking for a mild cam to put in. Everywhere I look they are really expensive. Does anyone know where I should look for a decent price on some performance parts? Also, where would be a good place to get main & rod bearings, pushrods, and lifters? I would appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks,
Greg M

Re: performance parts

fiero store has them all, www.fierostore.com, crane cams also make some, but you have to dig through a lot of part numbers and what not.

Also, www.westcoastfiero.com

Re: performance parts

Thanks for the links. Does anybody know if there's any difference between the crankshafts in an automatic and a manual?

Thanks,

Re: performance parts

Certain years of GM cars with auto trannies did not have pilot holes in the crank for the input shaft of a manual, but I'm not sure if the Fiero is one of them. Other then that, most of the smaller engines in the 80's used the same crank.

When it comes to bearings, I recommend Clevite. You'll pay more up front but they'll hold up to as much abuse as you can thow at them.

Why is it I see so many "Proud to be an American" bumper stickers on the backs of cars made in Japan or Korea??????
