Hello all
New to this room. My friend has a 1994 Caravan with the 3.0 engine. The problem he has is a no start. It cranks fine just no spark. It has a code 11 I think no crank signal . Now this engine has no crankshaft sensor so it must get ithe signal from the distributer. He replaced the entire distributer (spelling sucks) and still has no spark. He had someone hook up a Snapon scan tool and went through the chrysler tests and can get the coil to spark and the fuel pump will run and all the injectors work as well. When the problem started for him he was driving dwon the road and it just shut off. Any ideas where to look next. Thanks |

Re: 1994 Caravan no spark
I would double check on this car having a crankshaft position sensor. Spark is controlled by both the Crankshaft and camshaft position sensors.

Re: 1994 Caravan no spark
Well lets see.... Autozone lists a crankshaft position sensor for the 3.0 for $29. It also states the location to be:
CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR On your 1994 DODGE TRUCK CARAVAN 2WD,the CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR is: UNDER HOOD, DRIVER SIDE, UPPER ENGINE AREA, MOUNTED ON END OF ENGINE BLOCK The is no camshaft position sensor for this car. |
