Unhappy Check Engine Light: Code Po122 Help!!!

My 96 Suburban's check engine light keeps coming on, it is also shifting really hard from 1st to 2nd gear. Sometimes the light comes on, and some times it doesn't, the same with the shifting. I bought a code reader and the code is PO122. I replaced the TPS (throttle position sensor), and I cleared the code, but it came back on and it started shifting hard again. Can someone please tell me what else to try. PLEASE!!!

You might want to check the wiring to the sensor for cracks, breaks, or melted spots. On the other hand, it is possible for a sensor to be faulty from the start, but unlikely.

Good luck

Did you solve the problem? I have the same code on my 2000 Tahoe.
