Airbag light

I put in an aftermarket radio, amp and sub yesterday. After being so carful with the installation, I noticed the airbag light is on while the car is running. I put the radio in about a week ago with no problems until the left front channel stopped polaying. At that point no airbag light was on. So yesterday I fixed the problem and finished the rest of the install.
Does any one have any idea way the airbag light came on? Did I pinch a wire? Uplug the airbag by accident?
Any response is welcomed

Thanks,
Tom

Re: Airbag light

Did you mess with any yellow wires? All airbag related wiring in the car is designated by bright yellow wires.

Airbag light still on

Sorry to open an old thread, but I still have the same problem. After cheching all my wires under the dash, expe where I ran the amp wire through the firewall. I used a factory grommet and used caution not to nick any wires as I proceeded. I recently found out that the control modual is under the passenger side front seat. I removed that seat the run my wires to the amp. If I steped on the modual or the wires themself, could I have damaged it?
This is a 2004 with 25000 miles on it I bought 4 weeks ago. I am going crazy tring to figure this out. By the way I bought the car for my girlfriend, amd she's not to happy about the kight being on.
Thanks for any help.
Tom

Re: Airbag light

Check the fuse to the SRS System. The only other option would be to go down to the dealer and have them run a scan on the computer and find out what code is tripped in the Module. I had to do that with my Alero about a year ago. My problem was in the wiring harness to the SRS Module. I am also having a new problem with my SRS system and my light is on as well, my only option is to go the dealer and find out whats wrong this time.
