Snow Tires

CAn anyone give me advice on getting snow tires for an '04 PA Ultra. I drive through Connecticut daily - snow, ice, slush, etc.

Thanks in advance

Well living in western NY we all know what winters are like... I like Blizzak Tires, michelins are nice.. But for a aggressive tread Blizaks are great.

Re: Snow Tires

From Docfreed:

Thanks for the posts guys - I have used Blizzaks on other cars but do we really need them on an Ultr (with Stabilitrak 2) or can we get by woith the stock Goodyears? And If we do need them, on all 4 wheels or only on the front. It's pretty s_____ty is this neck of the woods.

Any help appreciated and once again, great forum

Re: Snow Tires

well here we got REAL winters.. heheh we get - 40 degrees often, snow storms like every 2 weeks and since the fusion of the 2 cities near by and the one i live in, they snow plowers have somewhat disapeared.. so we get less service and all...we got salt and sand spreaded on the street other wise it would be undriveable for the common mortal... although i slike winter driving so

i must add that i had studs on my old corolla and this car was a tank in snow.. slush, freezing rain, big snow banks.. it needed ALOT to stop it.. i somewhat regret the old toy..but the rust won.. as it always does on toyota's.

if i can next year i will get stud tires..on ice it's hard to beat..no "ice tire" can do better on tarmac it's not a s good i must admit.
