FINISHED: '55 Chevy Nomad

Hi guys,

Finished my AMT-55 Nomad today. One of my favorites.
A lot of mouldinglines had to be removed, but that's something I like. I Like it when I see the progress to get a clean car. After all, it fitted well.

Lowered the car, wheels came from a (snapfast) Revell Dodge Copperhead. Putted some mesh in the grill. Frontseats came from a Hasegawa Subaru Impreza. Doors and trunk are shaved. Almost all chrome on the outside has been removed. Painted Semi gloss black & Candy Lime green.

Here are the pic's:

Hope you like them.

Sweet custom Nomad.
The wheels and stance are great!
The color scheme works nicely too.
Great job!

I like the non-chrome look with the colour coded bumpers.......gives it a nice tough look.

Re: FINISHED: '55 Chevy Nomad

Damn you! You have a front bumper! I had to put a `56 bumper with spears on my `55 210, It would be coll if I had spears for the back bumper but oh well.
Looks very mean anyway and it looks straight out of Boyd Coddingtons garage, very good!

Love the monochromatic look. The custom grille, the cleaned up bumpers, a sleek style I've missed since Pro Street went out of fashion.

Only thing I'd change about this model is the engine. Looks like a stock 2 barrel carbed 265ci in there. Needs LT1 power.

It is the stock engine. Didn't like the optional Drag-engine that came with it. And since I had o engine in my part-box I used the stock one. Works for me.

Thx for the comments everyone!!
(sorry forthe blurry pic's, I'm using a webcam )
