Unhappy mk3 golf headlights dim.

Hello everybody, this is my first thread as i'm new to this site. And what a fantastic site it is,it's already been of great help to me.

My problem is with the headlights on my '92 1.4 single point injection mk3 golf. The headlights seem to be really dim.I recently fitted some high performance bulbs, but this has'nt helped the problem much.It really needs to be sorted as the winter months are on thier way. Please help me out with some advice.

Re: mk3 golf headlights dim.

I'm not familiar with the car, but it sounds like a bad ground to the headlights.

Re: mk3 golf headlights dim.

check your grounding points, the wires may be rusty as well. also are the bulbs you bought the correct voltage/etc. cleaning your engine bay helps too, since like i said, there may be rust and other things that might get in the way on the wires.
