'88-97 LeMans interchange ?

(in reference to Pontiac LeMans '88-'97 compact cars)
I have owned quite a few of these little cars, and they are very good, but notorious for axle problems. I already know the old cross reference to Vauxhaal astra, the Optima of those years, and the fact that it's a Daewoo Lanos underneath etc, but I have seldom a car to pick parts from here in Houston, TX, US. Now, knowing these cars bolt for bolt, I have noticed an extreme likeness to the design of the Hyundai Accent line of cars.
The early Accents look exactly like these LeMans cars, down to the taillights. Does anyone know if the drive-train in these cars, given a 1.2 auto setup, would fit these older cars? I am always willing to do some mods, and if they are similar that would be great, as they are very common here.
I have two re-built axles, and a bad left bearing, as well as bad struts and beaten ball-joints... we wont go into brakes, let's just say "please let these be the same car!" Hopefully Daewoo and Hyundai's plants are 10 ft. away from each other in Korea and it's the same design.
