Who takes what? The quarter mile? Is the Prelude VTEC or non-VTEC? Does the TSX have a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic? You gotta be more specific.

Ah, I'd give it to the 'Lude easily. By the way, not all 97+ Preludes have VTEC; only the Prelude Type SH does. The base model has a 160 hp engine.

um, yes all USDM 97 and up preludes DO have VTEC. there is a 5th gen prelude with a 2.0L non-VTEC, but they don't exist in the US. 92-96 preludes, aka 4th gens, had a model available without VTEC, called the si, with the H23 non-VTEC producing the 160hp you're talkin about.

as for a 5 speed lude vs a 6 speed TSX, i'd say it'd be pretty close but i'd say the prelude would take it very slightly if at all. driver wins this race. i wouldn't say a prelude wins easily.

Err, yes, you're right, I'm thinking of the 160 HP 'Lude from 92-96. My bad.

they seem about the same in power but why the lude? tsx weighs more? does it being a 6 speed make it any better?

Yeah, the TSX weighs a few hundred pounds more, and I don't think it's geared as aggressively (despite the fact that is has an extra cog).

tsx has more torque from the 2.4L, and 6 gears is better than 5...but that doesn't make up for the weight difference...Id give it to the lude

Yea this is a no contest to the Lude. The TSX is nice though.
