lowered camaro
my cousin lowered his camaro yesterday. its a 68(?) with a 454 bored out .30 over and a new set of heads pistond carb and pretty much new everything and a 400shot of nitrous plumbed in although he has yet to spray it. before he had the heads it ran a 9.something on our 1000ft track. and he left a 70 ft long black mark on the street behind my house with slicks and a locked rear end AND he lifted cuz he was coming up on a stop sign. its fun to ride in
 now if olny it was street legal, only needs new headlights then tag and insure it.

insane... whats the output of the car n/a? and wow, 400 shot is bigg... do you think he'll blow the motor once he sprays a few times?

i think he estimated 450 or so hp on the motor, but we dont know for sure. i think itll handle the 400 shot, the motors pretty well built, but i guess well see. hes gonna start out spraying at 250shot then work up from there.
the guy that helped him build it has a nova wagon with a 327 and he has a 400 shot that he has sprayed before so i suppose ho knows how to work with that big a shot. his other friend has a 68 camaro with a 502 and a i dunno how big shot of nitrous. theyre pretty much the fastest guys around here. im trying to get this guy i know to bring his girlfriends supra down and race them, its put 728 to the wheels on a dyno, without spraying its 150 shot, but its on street tires so i dunno how itll do. he *says* the guy he bought it from ran a 9.3 through the full 1/4 mile on the street tires, but i dunno if i believe that! i guess with a $64000 price tag a lot is possible though! *sigh* maybe one day my impreza will be running with them.

The guy said the Supra ran a 9.3 on street tires?
He's full of shit. There are only a handful of 9 sec. street legal Supras and in order to run in the 9s, they've ALL needed slicks. The fastest I've seen a Supra go on a regular drag radial was a 10.3 and he had let off at about the 1000ft. mark

at turboimports.com there is a supra that runs 9.5 on street tires, but its supposed to be the fastest street legal supra with stock 6 speed in the country, which is why i dont believe him. 10.3 i might have believed. i guess well find out for sure when he takes it to the strip.
