Freeway kill: My Evo versus R33

I was driving on the 210 freeway, when I saw a blue colored Golf. Something about it made me notice it. I looked at the driver, and I guess once I got ahead of him, that he thought he could play with my little rice rocket. I see him in my rear view mirror, speed up really quickly. Basically I downshifted, and followed him from behind. I almost smacked his rear bumper. He cut in between two cars, and matted the gas. He was actually pretty quick, which makes me think he definitely wasn't in a GTI w/ the 1.8t, unless it was modded of course. Anyways, I finally see a clearing. By now he is a couple buslengths ahead (Thanks to the California asshole mentality of people speeding up and slowing down, messing up my fun). I mat the gas, and build boost. I hear the turbo whine. I wasn't paying attention to my tachometer, and I hit my rev limiter (Mine's set for 7200 rpms). The car stutters a bit, and then I shifted into 5th. Apparently this guy was fearful of the turn, so he slowed down. Luckily by the time I got around the corner we were both even. I kept on the gas (We both hit the turn at over 100 mph). I left him by quite a large margin. I thought he gave up, but right while I went off the exit ramp I saw him mash the gas while on my side. I guess he didn't think I beat him soundly. Oh well. I'll chalk it up as a victory.

Read Title: Thought "Skyline sweet"
Read name: Thought "Wait a second..."
Read Story: Thought "Oh."

And yeah it's an R32.

Those r32's are actually pretty beastly. awd, 240hp and 240 lbs/ft to match. All in a little hatch.

SIKE

They are heavy and slow and their drivers are assholes, goes for 99.9% of any newer Vdub driver.

Yeah and they shoulda thought of a better name, cause any time someone mentions an R32 even I think skyline ( and their are two (at least) r32 skylines in my area sooo..).
they say "Hey! I saw one of those r32's today"
I think "Skyline Sweet! (havent seen one for 4 years )
they say "VW r32"
I think/ssay "you dick."

btw, Nice race :P

Re: Freeway kill: My Evo versus R33

Thanks for the props. I don't think the guy realized I was stuck behind some cars at first. I think he probably thought he had taken me out. No biggie. I haven't met too many R32 GTI owners.

Re: Freeway kill: My Evo versus R33

they run mid-low 14's stock, some drivers can get them into high 13's stock or with a chip and an intake.
