98 w/3800 & coolant leak question
I have a leak that appears to be coming from the elbow that is above the water pump. To describe better, the housing that the belt tensioner is attached (called?) to has a small pipe the exits almost directly above the water pump and turns 90* then enters the lower part of the intake manifold, just above the block. The coolant appears to be leaking at both ends of the "pipe", where they enter the larger part.
I was having a coolant loss problem for a while and could not locate the leak until I used the dye. So...what am I up against too fix this problem? I am technical able to do my own work. Thank ya'll in advance. Oh yea, I did do a search and did not find a direct match to my problem. |
