CRX console switch-a-roo!
There is a perfect crx dx up in the local junkyard and it has the complete dash in it with no cracks or scratches. Now, I earlier posted about doing a possible crx dash swap but decided It would be to much work on my work. The only reason I wanted the dash swap was the center console smoothly going from top to the center of the seats.
But I got to see this picture and was amazed. ![]() I could very easily get that but here's the thing, if I take out my center console around the radio and put this crx console in, will all the screw holes up top and on the sides line up with my hatch screw holes?

Re: CRX console switch-a-roo!
doesnt line up. more mods are needed. you need the whole thing that your radio mounts into. trust me i tried it. i think the crx dash swap would be just as much trouble and looks better too.

Re: CRX console switch-a-roo!
Yeah, I would get the back bracket with it also and I do realize that there would be a large opening in the top, but I can cover that up. But are you sure that just the front plastic cover, witht the screws holes, won't screw exactly where my hatchback console is? The one above the fuse panel cover and the one behind the glovebox opening.

Re: CRX console switch-a-roo!
i swaped a crx dash into a civic real easy, but the bolt on the bottom under the radio dont line up and make sure u get the streering column surround and the metal bracket that goes where the radio and heat control go the civic 1 and the crx ones are diff
and swap the whole dash the crx center on a civic dash looks trashy |

Re: CRX console switch-a-roo!
thats JohnnyM's car.....we work together....its a cool mod none the less....but you also need all the mounting hardware for the dash....its more work then you think.

Re: CRX console switch-a-roo!
Here what I'm talking about
![]() The two red circles are the screw holes i'm talking about. If I replaced my current console with this and the back bracket that holds the radio and such, will the these two holes line up with my two screw holes on my dash?
