I have a Sol

ya ya ya i know i posted this in the old forum too.... sorry

Sup guys just bought a 1997 Del Sol S yesterday...... and i was cleaning it up today and my bro mentioned to me that the wheel are all 4 lug is their a conversion out that converts them to 5 lug or can i just take the axles off of a 97 civic and replace em?? I know i shoulda used the search thing but maybe next time thanx in advance...

A few more things does anyone know if you can put power steering on the 97 sol-s or if it already had it

I did find some brackets on the intake manifold and the alternator that wasnt connected to any thing whats supposed to go there.....

Are their any aftermarket black out headlights out fer the sols?????

go ta set of subs that i can set in my trunk but i cant find anywhere to get the wires to the front of the car does anyone know where i can send them thru?

The honda badges on the del sol do they come off with out leaving holes in the car or what cuz ive taken all the other ones off cept fer those cuz i dont know if it will look right

----------------------------------------------------------

I have already installed a clarion cd player and a Greddy Counter-weight Shift Knob

Re: I have a Sol

You can swap the Integra Type-R arms and hubs onto your Del Sol. It's not too difficult to do but requires some time and patience. Basically you just need the wheel assemblies, arms, master cylinder, brake booster, and the fluid distribution thingie (can't remember the name at the moment) from the Type-R and just swap them with what you have. I can't remember the specifics, but it's been done a few times with other peoples' Sol's on the Team Sol forum.

All Del Sol's had power steering.

The extra brackets are if your Del Sol was JDM - some of the wires and cables are routed differently so connect in different spots. I have the same empty brackets.

Nope, no aftermarket headlights have been made for Del Sol's.

I'm not a stereo guy, so can't help you on the wiring.

And yes, removing the badges leaves holes.

Re: I have a Sol

I know the front one does. I believe the rear one does as well on Del Sol's because of the way the rear trunk is curved so Honda had to make sure it stay put. Either way, I'm not prying mine off to make sure.

hehe, I need to add "Sol" to my name somewhere.

S models with the Manual Transmission (like mine ) do not have power steering. Although honestly I wouldn't have it any other way.

Re: I have a Sol

Man i done posted how to run the amp kit in someone elses thread i dont know if it was yours but here it is again...I guess they should stickie it so ppl knows how...

In the trunk take out off the plastic thing against the back wall below the rear window the wall that the window rows down into..Then you can look you will see a couple of holes about a 1/2 inch round or so..That hole leads beneath your storage compartments behind driverside seat you will have to take out the storage compartment to..Then after you find the hole run them trough and under your carpet..I ran mine under the carpet to the middle console and it leads right to the headunit..Then on your 12volt power wire you run it to the firewall and there is a little plug balck one down by the battery you pop that out and slice a small hole in it and run it trough and under the carpet and to the trunk..Hope this is somewhat helpful any questions on this email me at [email protected]

Good luck later.

Hm... coulda sworn all Sol's had power steering. Well, thanks for correcting me. The S was the only one I might've been iffy about. Thanks for clearing it up.

Guess that means for all you people who want a manual rack to go get the manual rack from the S model.

Re: I have a Sol

Oh. Thought they all came with power steering standard. Didn't know Honda offered a manual option. Well, just shows there's always something new to learn.

Ok, confirmed it. Found a few pics of Sol's that had their rear emblem pried off and it does in fact leave holes on the rear. I feel so educated.

Gotcha. That and the fact the car rattles is a standard feature.

ah get some touch up paint, then go to wal mart and pick up some bondo. Fill the holes, sand it down, and touch it up. Bodywork 101
