Re: buzzing noise coming from fuel pump
Whoaaa, there.
Let's see, first, the buzzing in the tank is the fuel pump running, it is supposed to do that. Now, if I understand correctly, you have replaced the heads, the starter, the alternator, the clutch and two (2) batteries in one day. Try to give a little better description as to why you changed all those parts, at least before you go for the 12 guage. |

Re: buzzing noise coming from fuel pump
thank u for reply! fuel pump replaced to days ago
by westcoast auto now fuel pump is supposed to maybe make 3 sec noise but this noise stays on does not go off plus they put a really nice dent in my gas tank, next heads changed due to water in gasket, alternator was changed was draing power now the same mechanic is telling me it could be fuel sensor but i keep seeing posting about egr my ride drives for maybe a mile then my engine starts to pop then slows down in all gears when i depress the clutch will just cruise but if i hit gas will buck this happened last night right on the 60 fwy tryed to turn back on batt. was dead starts with a jump remomed neg terminal car stayed on so im rulling out possible altrenator man if u can help me and u need a favor im there. |

Re: buzzing noise coming from fuel pump
If I understand you correctly, are you saying that when you turn the key on, engine off, the fuel pump continures to run? If it is doing this, your fuel pump relay is possibly stuck.
Am I further to understand that you removed the negative terminal of the battery while it was running? I hope not. |
