...time for a rebuild...or?

ok, i just went to Orlando FL not too long ago. long story...well i got with this guy and we were going about 90 mph the whole way with a few 110mph dumbass moves...(i know thats too fast) well i guess my car didnt take to that too well. about 50miles south of orlando (orange county) i see a big ass cloud of smoke (nascar style. lol) ... no bang but i shut it off and pulled to a call box to find a blown upper rad. hose....ok no prob. about $110 later im sitting in a service plaza with a dumbshit mechanic trying his hardest to rip me off...while i was there some Canadian dude with a black crx si needen to borrow a 12 mm for his distro...any way...
i fixed it my self... some flex hose, clamps and coolant. in Orlando sitting in traffic ...i thought i heard a BOV...but it came from my car... heater return hose?(think thats what its called) blew up... nice...it over heated pretty bad...really had no choice...made it home after i fixed it..and last weekend i just blew the coolant bypass for the cold idle valve.that wasn’t a big blow so im driving feel a little more heat than normal...look at the temp gauge she is hot...all the way...but i was about a block away from home...so i didnt stop..(i was like fuck it this car has given me too much shit) well now i have the puff of smoke when i take off at lights ... im thinking i warped the head.
so what i want to do...
rebuild the d15b2...get a new head b2or a6 ...keeping it simple with electronics... but i want to get high comp pistons better rods , i donno about the crank...but i want a pretty respectable d15... not shooting for the badass of d15's but i want some power that will make people ask "is that really a d15?"
im pretty much asking you guys what i should do here i no longer have any money...but should have plenty by December.
and yes mpfi is a must... port and polish... si cam...maybe better
but i want a vary streetable build ...
sorry for this long ass post and do not tell me to swap a b in there...

Re: ...time for a rebuild...or?

you blew the headgasket. yeah just rebuild the motor...find something for a good price and don't drive your car if it keeps having problems. The more you drive and you know it has problems, the higher the chances are of you breaking down pretty far away from your house

D16A6s are cheap, I'd go buy a d16 instead, then you'll have a nice little HP gain, and you won't have to say you have a d15 anymore....

The a6 sounds sweet as hell but i have no money right now (will save like crazy for the next month though). I don’t want to worry about having to wire up vtec or obd1 yeah mpfi im willing to do. i may just get an a6 but i really want a fresh motor. if i can save up enough money i would really like to find maybe a 10.5:1 c/r piston rod combo .i really never looked stuff up to much for the d15(performance)... but maybe 130- 140hp would be sweet. I know that means cam high comp pistons rods if i get over excited i may get an after market crank...i know it would most likely be cheaper to get a d16a6 and drop it right in. im really thinking about getting a head gasket kit, having the head shaved and slap it back together. With that in well working order i buy an a6 and build it up...or even a dohc zc.

Re: ...time for a rebuild...or?

Just do the head gasket for now untill you have the money for a ZC or A6. Have the shop shave the head down as much as possible for a slight increast in compression.

Re: ...time for a rebuild...or?

do not mill the head. if you want more compression get higher compression pistons.

If you insist on milling the head, be prepared to get an adjustable cam gear, since milling the head lessens the distance from the cam gear to the crank pulley. You'll need the adjustable cam gear to set your cam timing correctly.
