Hell, they can't find about a hundred billion of the money spent by the department of education - how the heck are they going to find this money?

I have a total distrust for the government spending my money. Another reason to lower taxes and get a few hundred billion out of that 2 trillion dollar income of theres.

Re: What The....

Another reason why the government shouldn't be giving people billions for "misc" spending? I seriously wonder how the Pentagon can spend a billion on paperclips and office supplies...

Re: What The....

If your gonna spend a billion dollars on paperclips, might as well buy the damn factory and make your own. Who are they trying to fool with "All the 20 billion dollars were for office supplies" excuse?

Out of curiosity ('coz I don't know the answer), which administration over the past 228 years was the most fiscally accountable?

I don' think any government hasn't been in this situation where they "lose" millions or billions of tax money. You'd think it would be bigger news, sadley it's become the norm.

Re: What The....

I worked for the Department of Defense, within the supply system. Every year they would tell us to spend millions of dollars on "office supplies" before the 1st of October. Otherwise their budget for the next year is cut. It's a screwed up system.
We'd buy thousands of matresses, trailer loads of paper, etc. Just to put it in warehouses to rot. Bosses with large budgets have the power, so wasting money is like a contest between them.
