pump? My friend has a new Wahlboro in his 97 GST that he is trading. Do I need more mods or higher fuel pressure to run it - or is it just there for me for future mods? TIA.

Any Walbro larger than a 190lph technically needs a fuel pressure regulator, but people that can't 'see' the problem with expensive logging software deny/ignore it. The actual problem is stock FPR overrun. If his car runs well with the pump, don't worry about it.

I have a 255 and my car runs fine, The problem would usually be in the lower rpm ranges whereas the injectors are not opening in very fast incriments, thus keeping more feul in inside the pressurized system (rich then it should be). In the higher rpm's, the problem will decrease as more feul is being let out of the system. Also Joe is right as far as the overun goes. The only way to fix this, is an aftermarket FPR. Or, as you say, he has an sfac, which gives you him the oppurtunity to tune around the problem of having more feul entering then there should be, but thats a little tricky. I wouldn't worry about it too much, I don't.
