Question Skid Plates

Hello... On my '02 TB LTZ 4x4, the skid plate that protects the radiator and oil coolers is made of steel (or some metal) and the one under the front axle and oil pan, transfer case, and the one under the fuel tank, are made of some composit material (like heavy plastic).

My questions to you, and anyone else reading this that has the full skid plate kit on their 4x4 Trailblazer:

How many seperate skid plates do you have? Including the one under the radiator & oil coolers mine has 4. Is there something missing from mine? Can you see the transmission pan by simply looking under the truck, or is the pan covered by a skid plate?

The reason that I am asking is that I recently took my '02 TB LTZ 4x4 to Chevy for service (transmission fluid change "power flush") and afterward, when I glanced under the truck I could see the transmission pan and this made me think that maybe they did not re-install one of my skid plates.

Now I am trying to remember how many plates came with the package and what all is protected by them...

I appreciate anyone's feedback, by comparing our skid plate packages, or as Chevy calls it, "Underbody Shield Package".

Thanks!

Re: Skid Plates

My trailblazer had a skid plate under the oil pan and the fuel tank both were of a plastic composite. I have removed then and had a set made up of 3/16" steel to replace the plastic and have added a trans pan shield as well. I could also see the trans pan previously. And you have all the shields that chevy offers
