idle in park

i have a 93 talon tsi awd and wen i put it in park it surges and idles from 1500rpms then drops to 1000rpms ? y does this happining?

There was a thread on this earlier today. here is a reply from ash.

"It is called Idle Surge.. the cause of it could be many things, cleaning the TB helped a bit for me. Search for idle surge for other stuff that could cause it. It is not going to hurt anything so i would not go change ever part that could be causing it."

Heh...

Yeah I have had this problem as well but no one can figure mine out. And I have done the wires, plugs, and TB.

And if you think yours is odd, my RPMs go up when I am in neutral rolling backwards after I start it. When I stop rolling backwards they go back down. Then when I try to go in first, I get the idle surge.
