Driving down the interstate the other day and the cruise control in my '01 Windstar suddenly stopped working. The horn still works and the fuses are all OK. I've checked the pressure switch located under the master cylinder but I'm not sure if the switch is supposed to be normally open or normally closed. Any ideas?

Re: Cruise control stopped working!
Hi
I have a '96, but I would think the logic similar. According to my manual, that switch is normally closed. Depressing the brake pedal opens it cutting power to the Cruise control servo. The brake pedal switch on the brake pedal arm is normally open. Hope that helps. |
