Limp clutch....
hey im wondering if any of you could help me out with this. so my clutch pedal is like completely snapped. its like a flabby cock. nothings wrong with the actual clutch because i was driving it hours earlier but now its like theres no push-back spring. it wasnt a gradual mishap either but now i cant relieve the clutch so i cant put it into gear at all so its just sitting in my driveway. any ideas fellas? hopefully its not too serious..

Re: Limp clutch....
my friend ran into the same problem.......first check the clutch fluid, and see if its low.....if it is then just do the bleed thing like you would do with the brakes. this problem comes from bubles getting into the fluid for the hydrolic clutch sysyem, if u take the cap off the clutch fluid cap and bleed the system you will see the bubles comming up.......remember keep adding fluid as u do this......

back on topic.... same thing happened to me kinda... something got jammed and my clutch was stuck to the floor. dont ask me how that happened... still dont know myself... so maybe its jammed? or more likely its the clutch fluid.... |

yeah, so i checked my clutch fluid level and it was really really low. so i bought some more fluid and had my dad push the clutch in an out. bubbles came out but i could only add about maybe 2 tbsp before the bubbles stopped. im wondering where the lines are where i could drain some more air from????? because my clutch pedal still feels very spongy and weak even tho its driveable now.

Re: Limp clutch....
you have to keep doing the bleed thing, u cant just add fluid, theres a bleed valve on the front side of the tranny right next to the tranny mount, its covered by a black plastic thing, its hard to notice, just take the plastic off and use a, i think its an 8 mm bolt and just loosen it, andpump the clutch and then tighten it back up, add fluid, and repeat this untill theres absolutly no bubles left and the thing stays full

Re: Limp clutch....
the resevoir is next to the brake fluid one, its a bit smaller but its right to the left of it

Re: Limp clutch....
you might have to ask yourself, how did bubbles get in there?? you could have a problem with your clutch master and/or slave cylinders or the hydraulic lines.

Re: Limp clutch....
the bubles come from vibration and heat, the resivior is on the top right when u open the hood
